An NIH-funded postpartum support platform needed one app to replace scattered tools: baby tracking, parent wellness monitoring, care manager chat, and research-grade data collection. We built the full platform end to end, iOS, Android, and an admin dashboard, integrated with REDCap for automatic research data sync.
Talk to UsAn NIH-funded postpartum support platform connecting new parents with live care managers and evidence-based guidance.
Full-stack build: iOS and Android app plus an admin web dashboard for care managers and researchers.
REDCap integration, HIPAA-compliant cloud infrastructure, real-time chat, push notifications.
Live, in continuous development.
The platform reached scale fast and cut costs sharply by building on purpose-built HIPAA-compliant cloud infrastructure instead of custom infrastructure from scratch. That choice saved an estimated $25,000 to $30,000 in setup and operational costs and cut 3 to 4 months from the development timeline, with new features shipping every 2 to 4 weeks after launch.

reduction in PHI security process costs
Postpartum parents are exhausted, anxious, and short on time. The platform needed to work without friction while also feeding a live academic research database, and it had to do both while handling PHI for a vulnerable population.
Baby tracking, parent wellness monitoring, care manager messaging, and research-grade data collection each lived in separate tools, adding mental overhead at the moment parents had the least capacity for it.
A sleep-deprived, anxious new parent will not troubleshoot a confusing interface. Every extra step was a reason to stop using the product.
Without an automated sync to REDCap, every data point parents logged in the app would need re-entry into the research database by hand, adding burden and risking dirty data.
The platform handled protected health information in an NIH-funded clinical research context. Security and compliance weren't optional features.
Built on HIPAA-compliant cloud infrastructure with a direct REDCap integration for research-grade data sync.
We built a dedicated baby screen covering feeding, pumping, diapers, sleep, vaccinations, medications, and growth so parents track everything in one place instead of switching between apps.
We built a separate parent screen for mental health and wellness tracking, distinct from the baby screen, so wellness monitoring never got lost inside baby-focused features.
We built real-time chat connecting parents directly with their care managers, plus an admin dashboard so care managers and the research team can act on what they see.
We integrated with REDCap, the research team's academic data system, so every data point parents log flows into the research database without duplicate entry. We also built an education center parents actually use.
