The platform's predictions and staffing forecasts depend on clean, consistent clinical data flowing in continuously. Manual dual entry between the platform and Epic was working against that from the start.
Clinical staff entered demographics, medical history, and clinical data into the platform, then entered the same information into Epic for the official medical record. Every duplicate entry consumed time during a busy L&D shift.
Every manual step was an opportunity for error: mistyped MRNs, inconsistent formats, missing fields. Those errors accumulated in the platform's database and degraded the data the AI models learned from.
Shift handoff happened through conversation. Context got distorted along the way, and the incoming clinician missed details the outgoing one forgot to mention, a real risk in a unit where delivery can progress rapidly.
The platform couldn't see what Epic knew about the patient, and Epic couldn't see the platform's delivery predictions. A physician could make a staffing decision in Epic without knowing the AI had predicted an imminent delivery in another room.

The platform auto-generates structured SBAR documentation, Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation, from the live patient record. Outgoing and incoming nurses see the same current, complete information in the same format.
Clinicians receive real-time alerts when the platform detects a significant change, and the integration is now available to any Epic-connected hospital as a procurement item, not a custom engineering project.
