Dexcom CGM offers two API types: Share and Clarity. The Share API is built for real-time glucose monitoring across connected users, while Clarity handles historical data retrieval. For RPM and remote monitoring use cases, the Share API is the primary path — but it requires at least one follower configured in the patient's Dexcom Share account before data flow begins.
