The kit ships with three probe types that a technician reads at the same time. The app connects to all of them, applies the client's measurement formulas, and shows the results with the accuracy the client set as the pass or fail condition for the project.

The client had a line of BLE-connected test kits and nothing on the software side. Four constraints shaped the build.
The companion app had to be defined from the hardware behavior up, with no prior codebase, data model, or interface to inherit.
Pairing behaved inconsistently from one kit variant to the next, so the team had to research and test an alternative connectivity approach before committing to an architecture.
The calculations that turn raw sensor values into final readings sat in the client's spreadsheet source data, so they had to be parsed and applied at runtime rather than written into the code.
The interface had to carry multiple simultaneous readings at high accuracy. A false reading in the field costs the technician real money.

Connectivity was settled by testing, not by assumption. The team ran hardware and software compatibility research across the kit variants first, found standard Bluetooth pairing unreliable, and moved to beacon broadcasting for the data link.
A technician reads several probes at the same time, so the app had to manage concurrent streams and present them without ambiguity about which value came from which tool.
The measurement math belongs to the client and changes with the hardware. The app reads those formulas from the spreadsheet source data and applies them at runtime, so the calculation stays correct without a code change.
